WARNING!!!!!!! ALERT!!!!!!!

Postby ReaperWS6 » May 15th, '07, 19:50

Well I just found out why my transmission went up! When I programmed the car with the hypertech programmer it did not adjust properly. The car computer is tuned to have a higher gain. Well this really did not do anything to tune the transmission so it would cause it to hesitate or slip. When I installed a new set of gears today I tried to program the car to adjust MPH when I did the transmission had trouble shifting and would slip. Now this is a new transmission so I was pissed. I de tuned the car back to stock and it ran fine. The reason I did not notice this before was I just put on my drag radials. My winter tires were a bit warn down and I thought it was spinning between 1st and 2nd. Long story short the hypertech programmer is JUNK and will screw up your car.

Ajust the shift firm-ness up, but not all the way up. I had one of these some years a go. Now I have the tunner ajust it. My tranny has a shift kit in it. So, maybe that's what helped me. ( TransGo shift kit )

Go with superchips they are much better I have one on order. The Hypertech has been known to cause some big problems. I would never buy another product from them.

I have a Diablo Sport tunner too. But I had my car tunned with Hp Tunner after I got the Diablo. So I use the Diablo to clear my SES.

Yeah Tuners are worth it. They really wake up the car. It is the easiest mod you plug it in press a button and go
